Simone proudly serves as Content Coordinator and frequently writes for drjaygordon.com. She has a busy hynotherapy practice in Santa Monica wher she helps kids, teens, and adults.

Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Simone is a former commissioner for the Santa Monica Commission for the Senior Community. She is also a member of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, currently serving on their Government Affairs Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Kiwanis.

Simone developed an early interest in public service through the example of her parents, growing up believing that “to those whom much is given, much is expected.” After working on numerous political campaigns throughout her life (ranging from a Santa Monica City Council campaign to an undergraduate student union campaign), Simone decided to jump into the political arena herself. While attending the University of Oregon, Simone ran to represent Oregon’s House District 8 in a contentious election year, drawing support from groups as diverse as college students, business leaders, and farmers. Simone’s campaign received immense statewide attention due to her age (at 23, she was the youngest person to run for statewide office in 2010) and her moderate political views.

In her spare time, Simone enjoys hiking, running, skiing, and horseback riding.
